The HalkPay mobile application is available to every customer with an active Mastercard payment card issued by Halkbank AD Skopje.
User downloads HalkPay application from GooglePlay Store on Android mobile device. After downloading, it is necessary to register with the mandatory basic data such as EMBG and the last 4 numbers of the pseudo number of the card.
Next, the user will receive an SMS message with a one-time OTP password (one time password) on his mobile phone and use it to activate the HalkPay mobile application.
For successful activation, the user of his mobile device should have activated security elements such as (fingerprint, password, pattern or face identification). If the mobile device has a fingerprint option, but the user has not activated this secure element, the HalkPay application itself will ask him to enter it, so that he can continue using it. A fingerprint will always be used as a secure element for digitizing cards and for payment with additional authentication, if the mobile device has it as a secure element, otherwise the other elements will be used.
After successful activation, the user chooses which cards he wants to digitize and use to pay with HalkPay. In order to be able to use the Fast pay option, the user needs to choose a payment card as the main card, an option that allows payment without opening the HalkPay application.
Registration steps description for using the HalkPay mobile application:
Registration
To be successful, the client must enter:
EMBG (Unique National Identification Number of the citizen) and the last 4 digits of the pseudo number of the card, issued by Halkbank AD Skopje.
The user's mobile phone number should be updated and submitted to the Bank as an official contact in order to receive an OTP password that the user will use to activate the service for the HalkPay mobile application Login The user should have activated a security element on his mobile device

as (fingerprint, face ID, password or pattern) to be able to log in to the application.
Payment
To make the payment successfully, the user needs to bring his mobile device closer to the POS terminal that supports contactless payment. As a basic card, choose 1 card with a fast payment option. Other digitized cards can be used for payment with the mobile application if the specific card is selected before payment.
For an amount below 2,000 mcd, the user can pay without additional authentication on the mobile device, up to a total of 5 consecutive transactions under 2,000 mcd. On every sixth transaction below 2,000 mkd, the application will ask for additional authentication.
For amounts over 2,000 MKD, additional authentication will always be required.
After each additional authentication, it is necessary to bring the mobile device closer to the POS terminal to complete the transaction.
For Additional Authentication, a fingerprint will always be taken if the mobile device has it as a security element, otherwise PIN or Pattern will be used.
Single tap (transaction with one touch on a POS terminal) - for transactions under 2,000 mcd
Double tap (transaction with 2 taps on a POS terminal) - for transactions over 2,000 mcd and on every sixth transaction under 2,000 mcd
If the user blocks/suspends a certain payment card in the HalkPay mobile application, will not be able to make payments with it through the mobile application but can use the physical bank card.
If the user blocks the physical card due to loss or theft, it can be used for mobile payment. HalkPay application only while at the same time requesting its renewal from the bank's branches or through the bank's 24/7 contact center.
